Handling Sirona Cases in Dental Manager

Starting with Dental System 2.21.2.1, Dental System supports integration with selected third-party intraoral scanner (IOS) systems. This integration allows laboratories to receive scans from Sirona scanners directly into the 3Shape Communicate Inbox in Dental Manager.

This is a one-way integration, allowing laboratories to receive cases from Sirona clinics. Sending cases back through this integration is not supported.

A separate license module is required for this functionality and is not enabled by default. To purchase the license, contact 3Shape Sales.

Processing Sirona Orders in Dental Manager

Follow the steps below to process incoming Sirona cases.

Step 1: Open Dental Manager.

Step 2: Locate the incoming order under the "3rd Party IOS" section.

The order initially appears in the Created state. You can open the order to review the order form.

Step 3: If you want to design the case in Dental System, select "I will design in Dental System".

This allows for downloading the scan data required for the design.
 

Step 4: Wait while the scans are downloaded.

The order is automatically transferred to the Created section during the download process. Depending on the case size, downloading the scans may take 1–2 minutes. 

Step 5: After the download is complete, verify that the order appears in the "Scanned (3rd Party)" section.

Step 6: Accept the order and continue the workflow as you would for any other scanned case in Dental System.
