Resolving "CAM output could not be generated. Manufacturing process method is not defined for the order" when Generating CAM Output

The following error may appear when generating CAM output for an order with external manufacturing. 

“CAM output could not be generated. Manufacturing process method is not defined for the order [order_ID]. You can set the manufacturing process method in Control Panel > Manufacturing process.”

Cause

This issue occurs when no manufacturing process method (CADOutput .dll file) has been assigned to the manufacturing process used by the order.

This article applies to orders with the external manufacturing type in all Dental System versions.

Resolution

Step 1: Open "Dental System Control Panel".

Step 2: Go to "Manufacturing Process".

Step 3: Locate the manufacturing process assigned to the affected order.

Step 4: Click "Select" next to "Manufacturing process method".

Step 5: Choose one of the available CAD output methods.

Step 6: Save the changes and generate the CAM output again.
