CAT Auto Upgrade Process in 3Shape Dental System

The Cloud Application Tool (CAT) upgrade solution simplifies software updates in the 3Shape Dental System environment. Upgrade via Notification Message

This method is fully automated once the user accepts the upgrade.

Steps and results:

• Notification Received
  User is informed via popup that a new version is available.
  
• Upgrade Accepted
  Upon confirmation, the system prompts the user to close all 3Shape applications. The installer launches and manages the process automatically.
• Upgrade in Progress
  The system proceeds with the installation. All processes are handled automatically.

Upgrade via Manual Notification

This method applies when the user initially declines the upgrade.

Prerequisites:

• An older version of the software is installed.
• A newer version is available on CAT.

Steps & Results:

• Notification Received - User is informed about the availability of a new software version.
• Decline upgrade - Upgrade is not launched after declining.
• Open Dental Manager -  Notification icon appears in the top-right corner. Clicking it displays the upgrade prompt again.

• Perform Upgrade -  Software upgrade completes successfully. Version number is updated accordingly.
