How to enable Custom Practice Management System integration with 3Shape Unite
Overview
The “Custom Practice Management System Integration” App is intended for clinics using a custom-developed or privately maintained Practice Management System (PMS) that integrates with 3Shape Unite via the REST API.

Who is this app for?
Use this app if:
- Your clinic uses a custom-developed PMS.
- Your PMS is privately maintained and not publicly available.
- You plan to integrate your PMS with 3Shape Unite using the REST API.
Do not use this app if your PMS is already listed as an officially supported integration.
Before You Begin
Installing this app alone does not establish an integration.
A compatible PMS integration must be developed using the supported 3Shape Web Service API.
The clinic, software provider, or organization implementing the integration is responsible for:
- Development and configuration
- Testing and validation
- Ongoing maintenance
- Troubleshooting custom integration issues
- Updating the integration as needed
3Shape provides integration interfaces, documentation, and onboarding guidance but does not maintain custom PMS implementations.
Installation
- Open More > Store in 3Shape Unite.
- Navigate to Practice Management.
- Locate “Custom Practice Management System Integration” App. Click on Install.
- You will be redirected to the settings page. Complete the setup according to the implementation provided by your PMS solution owner.
