Reproducibility

  • This issue might be reproduced in all computers or just one of the full customers setup.
  • Once the issue is reproduced on the computer, it is 100% reproducible at all times in the same system until is fixed.

Workaround

Before performing any of these steps, please make sure to understand the customer setup, if is using cloud or local storage, make sure all information is synced between all devices or the cloud and further details.

if the current step did not work, please continue to the next one.

  1. Make sure there is no updates missing on the Unite software.
  2. Stop 3Shape Unite server, delete the tokens (ServerTokenStorage and TokenStorage folders) and restart Unite
  3. Stop 3Shape Unite server service and cut of all content from C:\ProgramData\3Shape\DentalDesktop\Database
    1. save all content from  C:\ProgramData\3Shape\DentalDesktop\Database on a different location
    2. Restart the service and log back into Unite
  4. Remove this registry key Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\3Shape\DentalDesktop > SupportSession
    1. Restart the PC and log back into Unite

If none of these steps worked, please do the following:

  • Log into the Unite software
  • If Unite freezes, let it be for a couple minutes, the interface might be operable after that
  • Go to “Storage management” and enable “stop using this device”
  • Wait until all information synced with other devices
    • This process might be stuck, you can cancel it and restart Unite, it might show 100% information synced.
  • If so, please proceed with a “full uninstallation” of the Unite software and reinstall the same version.
  • In case none the previous steps solved the problem, please escalate the case to the next support level.

In case of Unite software full uninstall, please make sure to:

  • Perform a system backup
  • save all content from  C:\ProgramData\3Shape\DentalDesktop\Database
  • Save logs folder
  • Save streams folder
